How do I add multiple pins to a map in Squarespace?
The default Squarespace Map Block shows only a single location. To add multiple pins to one map, install the Advanced Map Block plugin, then point a Map Block at a Gallery, Blog, or Events collection where each item has its Location Tab filled, and choose Use Collection Locations as the source.
Why the default block won’t do it
Squarespace’s built-in Map Block is limited to a single location, so it can’t show several store or office pins on one map (Squarewebsites). The Advanced Map Block plugin is built specifically to remove that limitation by letting a Map Block pull many locations from a collection.
Setting up the locations
Each pin needs a source item with a location attached.
- Create a Gallery, Blog, or Events collection on your site.
- Open each item and fill in its Location Tab with the address or coordinates for that pin (Squarewebsites).
- Add a Map Block to the page, then choose Use Collection Locations and select your collection as the source.
Installing the plugin
The plugin needs sitewide Code Injection, so it requires a Business or Commerce plan; on a Personal plan you can fall back to a Markdown block hack that may break (Squarewebsites). After purchase, the code is sent within 24 hours and you paste it into Header or Footer Injection (Squarewebsites).
