Chrome Extension — Copy & Clone
Can I copy a Squarespace collection (blog, store, events) to another site?
Yes. The Squarewebsites Chrome extension copies Squarespace collections between sites, including Blog, Product, Gallery, Album, Events, and Custom (Dev) collections. Install the extension, log in, and use the copy tools to move a collection's content from one Squarespace site to another in a few clicks.
Supported collection types
The extension copies pages, sections, and collections. Supported collection types include Blog, Product, Gallery, Album, Events, and Custom (Dev) collections (Squarewebsites). That covers the most common content designers need to move when migrating or duplicating a site.
How collection copy works
- Install the Chrome extension and log in with your purchase email.
- Open the source site and use the extension to copy the collection’s content.
- Open the destination site and paste the collection into the matching collection type.
Transfers work between 7.0 and 7.1 sites as well as between two 7.1 sites, so you can rebuild a blog or product catalog on a newer version (Squarewebsites).
Access and risk
You need contributor access to the destination site’s editing side — admin access is not strictly required (Squarewebsites). Back up the destination site before importing, because the extension relies on an undocumented Squarespace API and is used at your own risk (Squarewebsites). The extension is Squarespace-only and cannot export collections to other platforms.
